Her brother Ed. was a merchant seaman, and Dan worked for the post office.Katherine often escorted mollie to Darien Ct. to visit by train, and in later years she helped the memoirs with many recollections of Bill and Mollie and theiir father and mother, of young Bill Barett, of the Lane cousins in Melrose, of Mae Herlihy and other South boston neighbors.Katherine accompanied Sophie to many meetings of roslindale historical Society.
